LAFARGEVILLE, NY — Shane R. Cole, 31, formerly of the Clayton-LaFargeville area, died Friday, July 6, 2018.
Born May 4, 1987, in Watertown, NY, a son of David R. Cole and Cindy L. Countryman, he attended LaFargeville Central school.
Shane worked for Elite Painting, Philadelphia, NY, for a time. He also worked for various local construction companies.
He was a collector of hats, an avid sports fan and always remained loyal to his beloved NY Giants.
Survivors include a daughter, Alayna Grant, age 9, Brownville, NY; his father and step-mother, David and Sandy Cole, LaFargeville, NY; his step-father, Joe Hirschler, LaFargeville, NY; four siblings, a brother, Steven Cole, LaFargeville, NY, a sister Kasey Stevens and husband, Chad, Philadelphia, NY, a sister, Kendra Bresett and husband, Chris, LaFargeville, NY, a brother, Garrett Cole, LaFargeville, NY; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His mother, Cindy L. Hirschler, and maternal grandparents, Eugene “Silver” and Gloria Robinson Countryman, all died previously.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Thousand Island Christian Church, 26631 Simpson Rd., Plessis, with Rev. Gene Brown, officiating.
