WEST CARTHAGE, NY — Thomas A. Derouin, 60, of 5 Martin St., West Carthage died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at home in West Carthage under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born May 9, 1958, in Watertown, the son of the late Robert and Jeanne (Cook) Derouin, he was a 1976 graduate of Carthage Central High School.
For many years Tom worked for Allen Brady in property maintenance. He was currently employed by Carthage Machine Co. as a machinist until the time of his illness.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing.
He is survived by two sisters, Cathy Beggs, San Jose, CA, and JoAnne Derouin, Carthage; a brother, Jack Derouin, Lowville; his companion, Tina McNaulty, Copenhagen; and five nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by an infant sister, Christine, and a brother, Robert Derouin Jr.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in Hillside Cemetery, Broad Street, West Carthage, with Anne Rohr officiating. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
