WATERTOWN, NY — Robert C. Murphy, 75, Watertown, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, at the Samaritan Medical Center where he was admitted on Dec. 8.
Per his wishes, there will be no services scheduled at this time.
He is survived by his son Michael Murphy, his daughter Tammy Makuch, grandson Merritt Makuch, sister Jean Reynolds, all of Watertown; a brother, John, Leonardsville; several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Richard Murphy, predeceased him.
Robert was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Watertown, a son to Robert and Nan Vest Murphy. He served with the US Army in the early 1960s.
Mr. Murphy owned and operated Fat Man’s Taxi Cab service in Watertown for several years.
He enjoyed camping, his family and friends and racing (NASCAR).
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
