Beverly J. King, 91, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Beverly J. King, 91, widow of Donald King, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, at the Samaritan Summit Village where she has resided since April 7, 2013. She had previously resided at the Mercy Center since June 2010.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery later in the week.

She was born in Syracuse February 27, 1927, a daughter to Angelo and Ruth Moore Amody. 

She married Donald King in 1947. 

Beverly worked at JJ Newberry’s and Woolworth’s before going to work at Production Unlimited until her retirement.

Beverly enjoyed Shopping, cooking, dancing and roller skating.

She is survived by three daughters Yvonne (Henry) Tarwater, Beverly J. King and Darlene (Wayne) Scott, all of Watertown; two sons, Donald E. King, Clayton and Mark (Tina) King, Watertown; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. 

Two children Ruth and Katherine died in infancy. A son Robert died March of 2018, two brothers, Howard and Angelo Amody, and a sister, Vivian Hammer, also predeceased her.
