Nikki is the daughter of Kim and Jim Hutchison of Rodman. Nikki is a 2013 graduate of South Jefferson Central School. She graduated from Jefferson Community College with an Associates degree in 2015. Nikki is continuing on for her Bachelors in Early Childhood/Childhood Education. Nikki is currently employed as a substitute teacher, a server, and a high school cheerleading judge.

Jordan is the son of Deana and Scott Smith of Adams. Jordan is a 2009 graduate of South Jefferson Central School. He also completed the Southeast Lineman Training Center in Georgia in 2013. Jordan is currently employed at Renzi Brothers Food Service.

The couple resides in Sackets Harbor with their two fur babies, Luna and Remi. They enjoy spending time with their families.

Lily's maternal grandparents are Patricia Burns and Randy Fleming of Theresa and Douglas and Michelle Burns of Laurens, S.C. Lily's paternal grandmother is Carol Zittlow of Harrisburg, NC.

Mr. & Mrs. William W. Thompson - 50 Years

 

Mr. & Mrs. William W. Thompson, 63 Madison Street, Carthage, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary December 17, 2016 with friends at their favorite restaurant, Steak & Brew, Turin.

Mr. Thompson, son of the late James and Dorothy Thompson, married Cheryl M. L’Huillier, daughter of the late Gerald and Lucille L’Huillier on December 17, 1966 at Grace Episcopal Church with the late Rev. John A.W. Crewe officiating.

Mrs. Thompson graduated in 1964 from Carthage Central School and in 1965 from Central City Business Institute, Syracuse.

Mr. Thompson is a 1963 graduate of Carthage Central School and was employed by the Combined Support Maintenance Shop D., Fort Drum for 27 years and as a member of the 427th Forward Support Battalion of the New York Army National Guard, retiring in 1998.

The couple enjoy camping, playing cards, quilting and traveling.

They have a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Amy I.) Sanders, Carthage and two grandchildren, Ashley and Josh Sanders, and a great-grandson, Blake.

James R. Brown, formerly of Cape Vincent and currently Towanda, PA and Melissa Driffill of Clayton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Mae Brown, to Jonathan W. Benner, son of Jack and Carol Benner of Antwerp.

Amber, step-daughter to Dan Driffill and Donna Brown is a graduate of Thousand Islands Central School.  Amber is a graduate of Jefferson Community College and Franklin University where she earned her A.S and B.S. in Accounting.  She is employed by the New York Air Brake in Watertown as an Assistant Controller and serves on the Board of Education at TICS.

Jon is a graduate of Indian River Central School and a graduate of SUNY Potsdam where he earned his B.A. in Art and a M.S.Ed in Computer Science. He is employed by Thousand Islands Central School as the Network Administrator and Varsity Swim Coach.


Jon and Amber reside in Clayton with their beloved dog, Koda, and two cats.  They enjoy hiking in the Adirondack high-peaks, triathlons, boating on The River, enjoying their community and entertaining family and loved ones at their home. A September 2017 wedding is planned.

Elaine Finley and Michael Kasza were married on October 2, 2016 with an intimate ceremony at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville.

Elaine, daughter of Elaine Finley and David Finley, graduated in 2005 from Indian River Central School, and in 2009 from LeMoyne College with a bachelor's degree in theatre arts and education. She obtained her master's degree in theatre arts administration in 2016 from Rowan University. Mrs. Kasza is currently employed in the theatre department of Indian River School District.

Michael, son of Christopher and Joyce Kasza, graduated in 2005 from Leyden High School District, and in 2009 from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a bachelor's degree in Economics. He is currently employed as a systems network administrator at Fort Drum.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Kasza currently reside in Black River. In November, the couple enjoyed a 10 day long honeymoon to island of St. Lucia.

Mia was born at Carthage Area Hospital on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 5:47 p.m. by midwife, Joyce Wilder. Mia weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20 inches long.

Mia's maternal grandparents are John and Karen Snyder of Rutland and paternal grandparents are Roger and Penny Hadley of Carthage.

Kinsley's maternal grandparents are DJ and Betsy Munroe of Antwerp and Larry Blankenship of South Point. Her paternal grandparents are Lorraine and Cary Riordan of Lorraine.

Kinsley was blessed with meeting her grandma, great-grandma, and great- great-grandma, making her the fifth generation of Munroe girls. She also has the honor of being named after her Great-Grandma Marjorie, who passed away in 2013.

Kinsley was lovingly welcomed home by family and friends.

Baker high school and a 2013 graduate of SUNY Brockport where he earned his B.S. in History. He is employed at North American Substation Services as a Field Supervisor. He is also a 1st Lieutenant in the New York Army National Guard.

The couple currently resides in Oswego. The wedding is planned for October 7, 2017.

He is employed by Development Authority of the North Country in Watertown as a Project Development Specialist.

Matthew proposed on Dark Island at Singer Castle where the couple spent the night celebrating.

Vanessa and Matthew reside in Clayton. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends, gardening together, and walking along the St. Lawrence River with their much loved dog, Wesley.

A wedding celebration with family and friends is planned for June 17, 2017 in Clayton.

Mark and Amber Clarke, Sauquoit, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Rochelle Clarke, to Ryan Shawn Hotaling, son of Jay and Sondra Hotaling of Syracuse.

Ms. Clarke is a 2006 graduate of Sauquoit High School. She attended New York State University at Albany where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a double minor in Business Administration and Education in 2010. Ms. Clarke went on to obtain her Master’s degree from Marist College in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. Jenna is currently employed with ADP as a Senior District Sales Manager for the Capital Market in Albany.

Mr. Hotaling is a 2003 graduate of Onondaga Central High School. He attended Nazareth College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2007. Ryan is currently employed with Dell Technologies - EMC Division as a Select Account Executive. Ryan also plays in the National Lacrosse League for the New England Black Wolves.

He and Jenna reside in Saratoga Springs. A September 2017 wedding is planned.

Samuel is the son of Terence and Tatia Kennedy of Theresa. He is a 2006 graduate of Indian River High School and a 2008 graduate of The Wanakena Ranger School, with an Associate’s degree in Land Surveying. Sam is currently employed at Bernier and Carr and Associates as a project field manager and survey technician.


Jordan and Samuel currently reside in Lowville. They like spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors by hiking, camping, and snowmobiling.

Samuel proposed while on a hike to one of their favorite spots in Wanakena after a weekend of camping.

The wedding is planned for July 1, 2017.

Their wedding party also had Andrea Lettiere, sister of the bride and Brandon Dahl, brother of the groom. The flower girls were Giovanna and Francesca, daughters of the bride and groom. The ring bearer was Braxton Erdner, Godson to the groom.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Brownville Legion.

The couple reside in Watertown with their daughters and are expecting another little girl due in January.

Jillian MaryElizabeth Young and Jeffery John Marra were married on June 4, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Watertown.

The ceremony was officiated by Msg. Robert Aucoin. Readings were provided by Rhonda Munroe, aunt and godmother of the bride, Paula Lipes, aunt of the bride, and Chelsey Lyng, cousin of the groom. A reception followed the ceremony at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, Clayton.

Jillian, daughter of Daniel and Kerry Young, Watertown, is a 2010 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central School and earned an associate’s degree in Nursing from Jefferson Community College in 2013. She received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Utica College in 2016 and is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program with SUNY Upstate Medical University in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Mrs. Marra is employed by Samaritan Medical Center where she is a registered nurse at The Maternity Place in labor and delivery.

Jeffery, son of Deanna Marra, Watertown, and the late Jeffery Marra, is a 2011 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central School, received an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Jefferson Community College in 2013, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Potsdam in 2015. Jeffery is employed by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision as a Correctional Officer.

Lindsey Williams and Hannah Connolly, cousin of the groom, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Adriana Spicer, Caitlin McGraw, and Paige Delaney, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Brynn Delaney and Lillian Reape, cousins of the bride. Flower girls were Ellie Delaney and Mallory Reape, cousins of the bride. Special attendants were Kaylee and Jenna Munroe, cousins of the bride.

Matthew Marra, twin brother of the groom, and Michael Marra, brother of the groom, were best men. Ushers were Matt Dermady, Andrew Guyette, and RJ Ingerson. Mason Beebee, Jase Ferguson, James Kellar, all cousins of the groom, were ring bearers.

The couple resides in Watertown.

Levi and Kimberly Passage celebrated their 30 years of marriage. They were married on October 18, 1986 at the Woolworth Memorial United Methodist Church, Great Bend.

Levi is the son of John and Estella Passage. Kimberly is the daughter of Helena Cough and Carey Koster.

Together they raised three children, Shawn, Tonya and Melissa. They have eight grandchildren.

They celebrated on October 15, 2016 at the VFW, together with their family and friends.

Kristin is the daughter of Tim and Mary Thompson, Adams Center and granddaughter of Margie Cheseldine, Watertown. Kristin attended General Brown High School. She is currently employed at the Samaritan Keep Home.

Chad is the son of Michael and Debra Weaver, Calcium and grandson of John and Clara Hermann, Calcium. He is a 1999 graduate from Indian River High School and Charles H. Bohlen Technical Center, BOCES. He is currently employed by Deline’s Auto Body.

The ceremony was officiated by Maureen T Slate. The Bride was escorted down the aisle by her father Tim Thompson. A reception immediately followed at the American Legion, Watertown.

Missy Ryan, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor; followed by bridesmaids Becky Romig, Megan Whitton, Angel Ryan, Brandi Taylor, Kaeleigh Hickox, friends, Hannah Cupernall, cousin of the groom, and flower girls Lynnsie Ryan, niece of the bride, and Abbigail Pickett, daughter of the bride.

Brittnee is the daughter of Debra Mallette of Watertown and Vaughn & Diane Kriner of Jay, Florida. Brittnee owns her own craft business and works from home.

Benny is the son of Ben & Cathy Peyton of Adams Center. Benny is the owner of Peytonbilt Construction.

The couple enjoys crafting and building together, exploring new places and spending time with Benny's five-year-old daughter, Brynn.

Benny proposed on Brittnee's birthday in September in front of the Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.

An October 14, 2017 wedding is planned.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Earl Lalonde. The readers were Troy Ferguson, brother of the groom, and Ariel Cornaire, friend of the bride. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall
in Clayton.

Cory is the son of Tawny Calhoun and Jay Ferguson. Kelsey is the daughter of Tim and Cheryl Pacific. Cory is currently employed as a painter with Peterson’s Painting. Kelsey is currently employed as a patient access clerk at River Hospital.

Hannah Phelps was maid of honor: followed by bridesmaid's Eimile Parker, Carly Ferguson, Jami Ferguson (sisters of the groom) Becca Pacific and Olivia Pacific (cousins of the bride). Ron Leverenz was the best man: followed by groomsman Randy Pearl, Ryan Pearl, Myke Lavoice, Dustin Ferguson (brother of the groom) and Robert Ferguson (cousin of the groom). The grooms niece Abigail and cousin Bryce were the flower girl and ring bearer.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Ferguson currently with their dog, Delilah.

Michael and Julie DeGan announce the birth of their son. Emmett David DeGan was born October 1, 2016 at 6:34 p.m. at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. He weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Mary Nowak (Andrews) of Watertown and Mark Nowak of Syracuse. Paternal grandparents are David and Angie DeGan of Chico, TX.

Emmett was welcomed home by his fur-siblings, Charlie and Lilly.

Kristin M. Puccia and Adam M. Storino were married on June 10, 2016 with an intimate ceremony at Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay.
 
The wedding was officiated by Pastor Dominic Kriegbaum. The maid of honor was Lauren Bulger, friend of the bride and the best man was Thomas Storino, father of the groom.

Following the ceremony they celebrated with a dinner at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton. The following day, an outdoor reception was held at the groom’s parents’ home in Watertown with many family and friends.

Kristin is the daughter of Michael and Margaret Puccia. Adam is the son of Thomas and Sue Storino. The couple resides in Watertown.

The wedding was officiated by Father Steven M. Murray. Readers were Christopher Brand, cousin of the bride, and Stephanie Pierce and Kristin Dickson, cousins of the groom. The wedding was followed by a reception at The Commons at Dillenbeck's Corners, Fort Drum, NY.

Kelsey, daughter of Stephen and Mollie Brand, graduated in 2007 from Immaculate Heart Central School, and in 2011, magna cum laude, from SUNY Potsdam with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She received a master's degree in literacy in 2014 from SUNY Potsdam. Mrs. Day is a second grade teacher at Copenhagen Central School.

Christopher, son of John and Melanie Day, graduated in 2005 from Watertown High School and in 2009, summa cum laude, from SUNY Cortland with a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education. He received a master's degree in literacy from SUNY Oneonta in 2013. Mr. Day is a social studies teacher at Copenhagen Central School.

Shelby and Maddy Brand, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Rajani Day, sister-in-law of the groom, Kaitlin Backus, cousin of the groom, Brooke Boulter and Molly Lashomb.

Ryan Day was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Martin Lamon Jr., cousin of the groom, Jacob Backus, Stuart Schmitt, Benjamin Greene, and Seth Musselman.

The couple resides in Watertown.

John is studying English and Military Science at Carson-Newman University, and will graduate in May of 2017. John will commission as an Active Duty officer in the United States Army.

The couple enjoys hiking, God, and reading. A wedding is planned for December 2016.

Emily is the daughter of Steve and Reata Castor of Glen Park. She is a 2007 graduate of General Brown Central School. She received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education (B – 6) from SUNY Potsdam in 2012. Emily obtained her Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from SUNY Potsdam in May 2013. She is currently employed within the South Jefferson School District where she is a Kindergarten Teacher.

Matthew is the son of Jeffery and Karen Rudd of Rodman. He is a 2006 graduate of South Jefferson Central School. He received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from SUNY Potsdam in 2010. He is currently employed with Rudds Town and Country/Rudds Spray Service as a Spray Technician.

Shane Cashel was the best man; followed by groomsmen, Greg and Jason Rudd, Jesse Frederick and Danny Graves. Jennifer Grace was the maid of honor; followed by bridesmaids, Chanelle Goodfriend, Jamie King, Stacey Frederick, Rachel Rudd and junior bridesmaid Abigail Rudd. The couples son, Lucas, was the ring bearer and Deegan Lowe was the flower girl.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Rudd currently reside in Rodman with their son, Lucas and dog, Cato. They went on a week long honeymoon to Maine stopping in Portland and Old Orchard Beach.

Hannah Carlo and David Furman announce the birth of their daughter, Adeline Sue Furman. Adeline was born Friday, August 19, 2016 at 8:08 a.m. at Samaritan Medical Center Hospital. She was delivered by Dr. Barrett. Adeline weighed 8 lbs. 13oz. and measured 22 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Wendy and Brad Horton of Chaumont and Lou and Sherry Carlo of Larksville, Pennsylvania.
Paternal grandparents are Howard and Mary Furman of Henderson.

Adeline was welcomed home by big sister, Miley.

'Jimmer' was born on August 29th, 2016 at 8:33 a.m. at Samaritan Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. His maternal grandparents are Kurt and Maureen Robbins of Watertown and his paternal grandparents are James and Christine Dickson of Clayton. Jimmer was also welcomed home by his aunt and uncle, Jake and Kaitlin Backus, and his cousin Julian.
