They were married at St. Johns' Church in Lyons Falls. Marcy is the daughter of Glenn Smith and the late Patricia Smith. She is an emergency room nurse at Lewis County General Hospital. Dan is the son of Robert and Jean Teal. He is president of T&D Transportation and is employed by Teal's Express.

Harvey “Lou” Box and Rhonda K. Box celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on July 29, 2014

Lou is the son of Harvey and Leota Box, Vashon Island, Washington. Lou’s mother now resides in Federal Way, Washington. Rhonda is the daughter of Roy & Marjorie Sidmore, Belleville, where Marjorie currently resides.

The couple was married July 29, 1989 at the Pierrepont Manor, Mannsville, in a Garden Ceremony, with Rev. Dr. Hagar officiating.

The couple moved to Spokane, Washington in 1990. Lou was the business manager for the IBEW until 1993 at which time they moved to Central Washington. They called Wenatchee their home until moving back to New York and building their home outside of Sandy Creek in 2004.

Lou now works for Hueber-Breuer Construction Co Inc., Syracuse, as a Project Manager. Rhonda is retired and enjoys raising her Labradors.

The couple will celebrate their Silver Anniversary in Las Vegas.

Roger W. & Philomena J. Bombard - 53 years

The couple celebrates their 53rd wedding anniversary on July 8, 2014. They met on a blind date and have been inseparable ever since. They were married on July 8th, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Watertown. Roger and Philomena reside in Cornelius, North Carolina just outside of Charlotte. They permanently relocated from Watertown to North Carolina last year.

Mrs. Bombard, formerly Philomena J. Storino, is the daughter of the late Pasquale Storino and the late Mary Storino, Watertown. Roger is the son of the late Roger J. and the late Lilla V. Bombard.

Mrs. Bombard was employed with Fort Drum for 15 years in the Civilian Personnel Office and the New York State Department of Labor. Mr. Bombard is a retired sergeant of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, where he was employed from 1961 to 1981. He served in the United States Air Force as an air policeman from 1955 to 1959. He is a life member of the Sampson Air Force Veterans Association and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degree, in North Carolina.

Mr. & Mrs. Bombard are the former co-owners of Dalton’s Religious Store and Gift Shoppe. They both enjoy participating in craft fairs.

Philomena is interested in crafts, music, art, camping, gardening and traveling. She is a lifetime member of the National Home Gardening Association and the Creative Arts Home Club. Roger is interested in woodworking, gardening, camping and traveling. He is a regular participant in Knights of Columbus activities in North Carolina. Both enjoy spending time with their family and traveling.

Roger and Philomena have three children, Phyllis B. Taylor and spouse Frank Taylor, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Roger P. Bombard, Fredericksburg, Virginia and Patricia A. Bossert and spouse Justin Bossert, Cornelius, North Carolina. They have 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Kevin is a 2001 graduate of Lowville Academy and Central School. He graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College in 2006 with a A.S.degree in Welding Technology. Kevin is employed by the I.B.E.W. Local 1249 as a Journeyman Lineman.

Kevin and Buffy got engaged on February 22, 2014 and are planning an August 16, 2014 wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Carol & Mike Spier, Syracuse. The groom is the son of Rose & Dave Missert, Watertown.
The Maid of Honor was Jamie Crite, friend of the bride. Matron of Honor was Diana Kurutz, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jackie Myers, friend of the bride & Kelly Bayne, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Jaidyn Crite, goddaughter of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Best man was Clay Voorhees, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Kyle Shay, friend of the groom, Jerry Switzer, cousin of the groom, & Dave Chinnici, friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Ted Fanelli, nephew of the bride. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Richard Kurtz, Michael Spier, and Brandan Spier; and the groom’s brother-in-law Brent Kurutz. Bailey Missert, the couple’s beloved yellow lab, served as the ringbearer.

An evening reception immediately followed the ceremony at Emerson Park Pavillion, with live entertainment provided by the incomparable George Simser and DJ service by Rick Deyulio.

Mrs. Missert is a science teacher at Immaculate Heart Central Junior/Senior High School in Watertown. Mr. Missert is the Director of Field Operations at A.J. Missert Inc., Watertown.

The couple currently resides in Watertown and are expecting their first child in October.

Kristen Marie Reed and Grant Christian Dietert were married on April 19, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at the Wells College Chapel in Aurora.

Kristen is the daughter of Mark and Barbara Remillard of Darlington, S.C. Kristen is the granddaughter of Julia and Richard Smith of Dexter, New York. Grant is the son of Margaret G. Flowers, Aurora, and Rodney Dietert, Ithaca.

The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Dr. Margaret G. Flowers, mother of the groom.

The wedding party included the bride’s best friend Jennifer Brown as maid of honor and the flower girl was Katelyn Grace Dietert, daughter of the groom. Ring bearer was Grant Christian Dietert Jr., son of the groom and the groom’s brother, Matt Dietert was his brother’s best man.

A reception overlooking Lake Cayuga at Dorie’s Bakery, Aurora, followed the ceremony and was enjoyed by friends and family. In lieu of gifts the couple requested friends and family make donations of any size to New Life Christian Church of Watertown and Samaritan’s Purse of Boone, NC.

Kristen is the coordinator of vocational rehabilitation and education services at Credo Community Center, Watertown.

Grant serves in the Army as a 2nd lieutenant with the 10th Mountain Division, 2nd Brigade, Fort Drum.

The couple resides in Watertown.

Amanda Moulton was her mother’s Maid of Honor. Caleb Harris was his father’s Best Man and Ring Bearer. The groom’s parents, Wayne and Doris Harris were also in attendance. Absent was the Bride’s son, Jacob Moulton, who is currently serving in the U.S. Navy. The wedding was followed by a wonderful wedding supper and more laughter and great company.

A celebration is planned in August 2014 for friends and family, when the bride’s son is home on leave and their family is complete.

Alexis is a regents graduate from Alexandria Central school, she attended Jefferson Community Collage and is currently finishing up her cosmetology license at Bohlen Technical Center and plans to work with her mother at Marie's Beauty Inn in Alexandria Bay .

Tyler is a regents graduate of Thousands Islands High School. He attended Bohlen Technical Center for welding and is currently a welder traveling up and down the East coast for Cianbro Cooperation of Pittsfield, Maine

Tyler and Alexis were engaged at the Margie and Don Prosser residence on March 1, 2014. Their wedding will be held in Clayton on October 17, 2015.

They are combining families, along with their children, Riley, Sophia, and Madison on July 12, 2014 in Antwerp.

Alicia is a 1999 graduate of Potsdam Central School and a 2003 graduate of Clarkson University with Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Business Administration. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Clarkson in 2005 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2006. She is currently the head physical therapist and managing partner of a private orthopedic physical therapy practice in Manlius, New York.

Eric graduated from Carthage Central School in 1997 and attended The Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2001 and a Master’s degree in Educational
Administration in 2003. He is in his tenth year of teaching Physical Education and coaching football and lacrosse and is currently employed by the Fayetteville-Manlius School District.

The couple, who resides in Manlius, enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. They were engaged in October 2013 and plan to marry on August 9, 2014 at St. Ann’s Church, Manlius.

Chris is a 2002 graduate of Copenhagen Central School. He attended SUNY Canton from 2002-2003. Chris has been employed by Purcell Construction Co. for ten years where he completed the training for his NCCER Carpenter certification in 2013.

The Carthage Central class of 1969 will hold a 45-year reunion.

Ice breaker will be Friday, September 12, 2014 at 7 pm at Jose O'Conners  (formerly Keddy's).

Dinner and Dance will be Saturday Sept 13, 2014 at the Carthage Elks Lodge. Cocktails at 6, dinner at 7, dance from 8 - 12 with Tom Ellis DJ.
