THERESA, NY — Christina M. Bango, 62, of County Route 22, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY, after a long illness.
Born Feb. 26, 1956, in Watertown, NY, a daughter of Richard and Dora Bishop VanEpps, she graduated from Watertown High School.
Christina worked various jobs in Watertown, NY and was a bus driver for Indian River Central Schools for many years.
She married Larry J. Bango on Jan. 12, 1982, in Gouverneur, NY. The couple lived in Florida for a few years and then moved to their current residence.
Christina enjoyed bingo, going to the casino and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include a husband, Larry J.; her mother and step-father, Dora and Donald Cunningham, FL; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Heather and Matthew Narrigan, Theresa, NY, Jodi and Todd Wetherwax, Philadelphia, NY; five grandchildren, Derek, Jeffrey, Kailee, Garret and Dillen; a great-granddaughter, Katelynn; four step-sons; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Richard, Jr. and Fran VanEpps, Watertown, NY, Edward, Sr. and Shirley VanEpps, TN, James and Helene VanEpps, Warsaw, NY; a sister and a brother-in-law, Amy and Bob Hapka, FL.
Her father, a son, Joseph, at birth and a step-son, Tracey Bango died previously.
There will be no funeral or calling hours. Arrangement are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY. Private burial will be in Oxbow Cemetery, Oxbow, NY.
