David I. Reynolds, 94, Evans Mills

EVANS MILLS, NY — David I. Reynolds, 94, died as peacefully as he had lived.

David was born August 16, 1923, on the farm of his parents, James and Emeline (Johnson) Reynolds.  He graduated from Richville, NY High School in 1942.

David helped on the family farm until June 16, 1951, when he married Dorothy Jean DeLong.  The couple established a new homestead and lived on Snuggle Hill Farm on Route 11 in Richville until 2003, retiring to Evans Mills, NY.

David was predeceased by his parents, a sister M. Louise Schwellensattl, 3 brothers-in-law Joseph Schwellensattl, James Lenahan, and Ross Putman.  He is survived by a brother Ford (Sarah) Reynolds, and 2 sisters Doris Putman and Laura Lenahan, as well as wife Dorothy, sons David Jr. and John Reynolds, and daughters Joan Rioux and Marion Reynolds.  He was blessed with 8 grandchildren – James and Caitlin Rioux, Joshua, Eric, and Dean Yatskowitz, Ben, Thomas, and Natalie Reynolds and 3 great-grandchildren – Kellan and Clara Rioux and Amelia Yatskee.

Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Richville, New York.

Arrangements are being handled by the Northridge Cremation Chapel located on 31291 Town Line Road in Philadelphia, New York 13673 owned and operated by Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc.
