WATERTOWN, NY — Cengiz Gulbay, 44, of 134 Court St., Apt. 4, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with two counts of second-degree menacing, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and a single count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all misdemeanors.
Mr. Gulbay is accused of displaying a loaded semi-auto 9mm handgun and discharged the weapon at or in close proximity of Sheena M. Covell and Kahlil Covell at Cash 4 Gold, 132 Court St., at about 5:53 p.m. Saturday, according to court documents.
He was arraigned in LeRay Town Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with bail set at $1,000 cash.
