WATERTOWN, NY — James A. Edwards, 47, of Huntington Heights, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at his home.
James was born in Brooklyn on July 18, 1971. He moved from Malone to Watertown as a young man, where he became actively involved with the North Pole Fire Company as a volunteer firefighter and served as the treasurer for the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Watertown.
James was keenly interested in computers and had his own private computer repair business. Between 2001 to 2006 he was employed with Sam’s Club in Watertown.
In his spare time, he enjoyed building airplanes and remote control helicopters. He was knowledgeable about radio equipment and often served as a DJ for parties and events. James had a wonderful sense of humor and surrounded himself with kind, supportive friends who appreciated his personality. His companion of eighteen years, Allison Yorton , was his biggest supporter.
An hour of calling will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Eagles Club will hold a short memorial service at 10:30 a.m. during calling hours. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
