ANTWERP, NY — Jared Chester Cook, 28, of Co. Rt. 24, Antwerp, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at SUNY Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, from injuries sustained at his home on May 30, 2018.
Born April 13, 1990, in Watertown, NY, a son of R. Scott Simpson and Robin L. Cook, he was a 2008 graduate of Indian River Central School.
Jared was currently employed by RSI Roofing, Gouverneur, and previously worked for Lawman Construction.
He was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed hunting and his greatest joy was spending time with his children, family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, R. Scott Simpson and Robin L. Cook; a son, Conner Lee Cook; two daughters, Presley Jae Cook and Tegan Isabelle Lacy; three sisters, Jena Cook, Jackie Simpson and Lyric Simpson, all of Antwerp, NY; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, with Rev. Donald Briant, officiating. A celebration of life will be at the Antwerp Fire Hall immediately following services.
