WATERTOWN, NY — Jeri A. Parker, 62, of Cornwall Lane, Watertown, found her peace Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.
Born Aug. 31, 1956, in Philadelphia, NY, a daughter of the late Gerald and Catherine “Jeanne” Parker, she was a 1974 graduate of Indian River Central High School and the nursing program at BOCES of New York State.
Jeri held no prejudices and proved throughout her life to have a pronounced compassion for others. As an accomplished nurse, Jeri had the opportunity to work in several facets of heath care including the Department of Federal Corrections, hospitals serving our active military and veterans, assisting the elderly in nursing homes and caring for babies and children while working in home health care.
Jeri had a passion for exotic foods, reading, writing in her daily journal, crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
Jeri is survived by her three daughters, Kylie Longoria, Amanda Zeigler, and Tia Zeigler; five grandchildren, Hailei, Makaela, Samantha, Ryker and AJ; sister, Patricia Parker; and cousins, Wendy Wright, Scott Wright, and Ellen Oberton.
A private service will be held to celebrate her life this summer. (Service date and location to be announced)
