THERESA, NY — Joan L. Morris, 81, of Avon Park, Florida, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at the home of her son.
Born Aug. 12, 1937, in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Harold H. and Marguerite Cody Evarts, she attended Worcester Girls Trade School in MA.
Joan married Harold R. Morris, Jr., on Aug. 6, 1962. He died Oct. 30, 2012.
She worked as a private duty home health aide for many years.
Joan was a member of the First Christian Church, Florida.
She enjoyed playing the piano, going shopping, WWE Wrestling, Thursday nights at Highway Legends Car Club, Watertown, NY and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include four children; son and daughter-in-law, Harold “Steve” Morris, III and wife, Sandra, Theresa, NY, daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Spencer and husband, Jack, Dryden, NY, son and daughter-in-law, Albert Morris and wife, Shannon, Avon Park, FL, daughter, Diane Costain, NJ; a brother, Robert Evarts, Holden, MA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her dog, Cujo; nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a Celebration of Joan’s Life 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at the Theresa Fire Hall, 400 Mill Street, Theresa, NY.
