OGDENSBURG, NY — Funeral services for June E. Lovely, age 88, of Ogdensburg, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Mrs. Lovely passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
June is survived by her husband, Robert Lovely; her two sons, Robert Lovely and his wife, Christine, of Ogdensburg, NY and Daniel Lovely and his wife, Ruby, of Potsdam, NY; two daughters, Carol Lovely of Ogdensburg, NY and Bonnie Churco and her husband, John, of Colton, NY; two sisters, Dorothy Mitchell of Ogdensburg, NY and Leona Bishop and her husband, Otis, of Lisbon, NY; a brother, William Vine and his wife, Cathy; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins. June is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia, in 1953 and a brother, Robert Vine, in 2017 and a son-in-law, Allen Lovely, in 2012.
June was born on May 12, 1930, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of William and Leona Shollette Vine. She attended St. Mary’s Academy. June married Robert Lovely on February 19, 1949, at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg, NY with Rev. Burnett officiating. She worked at Ogdensburg Free Academy as a cafeteria cook manager. June retired in 1991 after twenty-two years of service.
June enjoyed camping in the summer time, spending time with grandchildren and family, gardening, planting flowers and cooking.
