CANTON, NY — Linda A. Adams, 73, Canton, NY, died Saturday, Sept. 15, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.
Born June 28, 1945, Linda was the daughter of the late Glenn and Doris Zimmer Bates of Redwood.
Linda married Gary Adams on Sept. 1, 1963, at the Redwood Methodist Church.
She was owner and operator with Gary of the Arco Station in Redwood and the Wild Rose Gift Shop in Potsdam. Linda worked for many years for the United States Post Office.
Linda loved her grandchildren, the St. Lawrence River, flower gardening, and her loudmouth cat, Flats. She was (as her family will attest) a wonderful baker and cook. She was also an avid reader.
Survivors include her four children; Stephen Adams and his wife Christina of Morley; Kathleen Parker and her husband Dale of DeKalb; Barbara Adams and her husband Xavier Acarin of Brooklyn; Tracey Adams-Hallsworth of Herrings; and four beautiful grandchildren, Jonas Adams, Lydia Adams, Elias Parker and Hunter Hallsworth.
Donations can be made to the Potsdam Humane Society and the Canton Rescue Squad.
