Lowville police: Teen damaged water fountain at school

LOWVILLE, NY — On May 5 at about 3:30 p.m., the Lowville Village Police Department charged a 15-year-old subject with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on May 4 at the Jack J. Boak Educational Center on Shady Avenue in the village of Lowville, police said.

“It was reported that a student intentionally kicked a water fountain causing about $150 worth of damage,” police wrote.

The student and the student’s parent were issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Lewis County Probation Department at a later date.
