Man charged with aggravated DWI in Watertown; 0.26% BAC

WATERTOWN, NYJason L. Custer, 34, of 24480 Route 12, Pamelia, was charged by Watertown police at 1:23 a.m. Saturday, July 14, in the 100 block of Main Avenue with aggravated driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, inadequate muffler and refusal to take a breath test.

His blood alcohol content was 0.26 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

He is summoned to appear July 18 in City Court.
