Mary L. Taylor, 91, Adams

ADAMS, NY — Mary L. Taylor, 91, E. Church St., Adams, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown where she was admitted on Monday, Sept. 10.

She was born May 20, 1927, in Rodman, a daughter of Asa and Evelyn Sargent Berry.

She married George C. Taylor Oct. 9, 1952, in Belleville Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Miles Hutchinson officiating. Together they operated a dairy farm on Brodie Road in the Town of Henderson for several years before moving into the village of Henderson. Mr. Taylor died Jan. 20, 2002.

Mary enjoyed doing circle word books, working on puzzles and her bird Henry.

She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Daniel McConnell of Rodman; Barbara and Bruce Wilson of Adams Center; Charlene and Howard White of Adams Center; three sisters, Helen Miller, Hazel Peterson, Karen Stowell; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Corey, Sharon Rounds and a brother, Leonard Berry.

Funeral service will be held noon Monday, Sept. 12, at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Rodman.
