Mary Lou Lanza, 81, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY — Mary Lou Lanza, 81, of Kotel Road, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital, Community Campus, Syracuse.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

In keeping with Mary Lou’s wishes, she will have a private graveside service and be buried in a family plot in Ivandale Cemetery, Somers, NY.

Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

Mary Lou was born on July 13, 1936, in Westchester County, New York, a daughter of the late Bruno Daros and Dorothy Knowles Daros.

Most recently, Mary Lou was a special needs school bus attendant for Freeman Bus Corporation, Watertown. She enjoyed her job and loved working with her students.

She is survived by her three daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie MacCartney and her companion Robert Rzeszut; son-in-law, Bruce MacCartney; Catherine Sustad and her companion Terry Ghee; Caroline and William Harmke;  three sisters, Joan Corwin, Patricia Johns, Connie and Zeke Zecchin, six grandchildren, including her very special and oldest granddaughter whom she helped to raise, Jessica MacCartney; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Lanza; a son, William Lanza; and a sister, Betty.

Mary Lou’s family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Rainbow Community, 1st floor, at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility for their loving care and kindness of Mary Lou during her stay there. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Lyndaker and staff.
