Samaritan
Invites Input,
Shares Plans During
Upcoming Community Series
WATERTOWN, N.Y., March 3, 2008 —
For the fourth consecutive year, Samaritan Medical
Center is hosting a series of community meetings about local healthcare.
Thomas H. Carman, Samaritan’s President and
Chief Executive Officer, will share details of Samaritan’s upcoming $61
million expansion and modernization project, slated to begin this April, as
well as Samaritan’s on-going efforts to recruit new physicians to the
community. These forums also provide an opportunity for members of the
community to offer feedback about the hospital’s plans and about local
healthcare in general.
“It’s important for us to reach out to the
community, to answer questions, hear suggestions, and share our plans to
advance healthcare for our entire community,” explains Thomas H. Carman,
Samaritan’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “In the four years that
we’ve been hosting these meetings, the information we have gathered from the
community has been invaluable to our future planning. These meetings provide a
forum for us to listen to the community we serve and continue gathering
feedback about local healthcare. It is also an opportunity for us to share our
future plans, which help address many of the issues brought forth in previous
years.”
