Div. Soldier Dies at Walter Reed Medical Center

FORT DRUM, N.Y., March 25, 2009
— Specialist Justin T. Antisdel, 25, died March 22 at Walter Reed Medical Center.
Antisdel was a rifleman with the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
He was attached to
Walter Reed Medical Center in February 2008 for care of combat-related injuries
sustained during his deployment with the 1st BCT, 10th Mountain Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 1st BCT, 10th
Mountain Division deployed in support of Operation Iraqi in August 2007 and redeployed in December 2008.
Antisdel's home of record is Easley, South Carolina. He joined the Army
in September 2005. After training at Fort Benning, Ga., he was assigned to Camp Casey, Korea. He was assigned to Fort Drum in January
2007.
Antisdel's medals and decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Army Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the
Iraqi Campaign Medal with Combat Service, the National Defense Service Medal and the Purple Heart.
Antisdel is survived by his wife and son.
The circumstances of Antisdel's death are under investigation.
