Northern New York Builders Exchange announces scholarship program winners

WATERTOWN, NY — The Northern New York Builders Exchange, Inc., carried on a long standing tradition of awarding scholarships to area students with a combined total of $6,000 being awarded this year.

Scholarships were given to twelve high school seniors and college students in construction related fields. Recipients were chosen based on their essays on their future plans for employment in the construction industry, letters of reference, and high standards for grades.

The scholarships are available to high school seniors and college students in the Exchange’s service area of Jefferson, Lewis, Franklin, and St. Lawrence Counties. Scholarships were also available this year to family of members of the Northern New York Builders Exchange for any collegiate field of study.

The Northern New York Builders Exchange raises funds for this scholarship through membership and various fund raisers throughout the year.

“It is an honor that our great organization is able to once again carry on the tradition of giving out collegiate scholarships to many local students to help promote and maintain construction related fields of study within our tri-county areas.”
