LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Theresa
Sweeney, 82, of Maple Avenue, died Saturday afternoon, Dec.
31, at her home.
The funeral will be 11
a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc.,
Lowville, with Christopher Carrara, Pastor, of St. Peter’s
Catholic Church, Lowville, officiating. Burial will be at
the convenience of the family. Calling hours will follow the
funeral service, until 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Theresa was born Dec. 6, 1929, in New Waterford, Nova
Scotia, a daughter of Stephen and Florence McMullin MacNeil.
She married Earl G. Sweeney on Jan. 28, 1950 in Quebec,
Canada. Mr. Sweeney died in June 1985.
Mrs. Sweeney has lived at her current residence on Maple Avenue
since 1970.
She was a communicant of St.
Peter’s Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, baking and
sewing.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Catherine A.
Sweeney, Lowville, and Lisa and Michael Lee, Valdosta, Ga.;
three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Mary,
Sperryville, Stephen, Castorland, and John and Jennifer,
Lowville; 13 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her husband, a son, David G. Sweeney, a daughter, Rebecca
Lynn Sweeney, fifteen brothers and sisters all died before
her.
