HARRISVILLE, N.Y. —
George E. Paddock, 81, of
Route 812, peacefully passed to be with the Lord Tuesday
morning, Jan. 10, at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
Born May 29, 1930, in Sudbury, Ontario, the son of George N.
and Lydia May Hamilton Paddock, he attended Boone Street
School and other schools in the Watertown area.
He married Barbara A. Evans on Aug. 18, 1951, at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Utica. He served in the Air Force
from 1951 to 1955. After his time in the service, he worked
as a mechanic at Kittle Motors in Clayton and Lathan’s
Garage in Watertown.
He enjoyed all wildlife and
nature, hunting, fishing, carpentry, and making maple syrup
with his grandsons. He also enjoyed working in his workshop,
where he handcrafted Adirondack Chairs, bird feeders, and
gifts that he enjoyed sharing with others.
He always treasured time with spent with his grandchildren.
In memory of George, if
your parents are living please call them and tell them you
love them, if your children are near give them a hug and if
you have a pet give it a kiss on the head and a treat and
tell them it is from George.
Surviving are his wife Barbara, Harrisville; two daughters
and a son-in-law, Karen and Robert Bellinger, Harrisville,
and Mary Booth, Ellisburg; a son and daughter-in-law, David
and Sue, El Cajon, Calif.; five grandchildren, Nicholas
Bellinger, Christopher and Marcia Bellinger, Kaitlin, Taylor
and Christine Booth; and several nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, George J. Paddock, Hannah
Malcolm, and Jane Paddock.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14,
at Adirondack Funeral Home, Harrisville with Pastor Tom
Wilson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
