CARTHAGE, N.Y.  —  Brandy M. Loder, 36, of 21821 County Route 47, died Thursday, Jan. 12, in the emergency room at Carthage Area Hospital. 

Born May 16, 1975, in North Carolina, the daughter of Richard Ray Neely and Carol Elizabeth McCallops, she graduated from Carthage High School. 

She worked for (SRC) Fort Drum as a licensed practical nurse. 

She married Thomas Loder on Feb. 11, 2005.

Mrs. Loder was a lifelong animal lover; her passion in life was to help foster abandoned animals. She also loved to ride horses. She was a past member of the Carthage Area Rescue Squad.

She had a big heart. She gave a special gift, she gave the gift of life; she was an organ donor.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas; four children, Michael Kuehnle, Sean Rossignol, Alexis Rossignol, and Autumn Loder; all of Carthage; her father Richard and step mother, Jane Neely, Carthage; her mother Carol Elizabeth and her husband, Bert Gutierrez, Carthage; her grandfather, William McCallops, Carthage; several aunts and uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her grandmother, Evelyn McCallops and a brother Richard W. Neely, who died July 1, 2008.

Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. and noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joyce M. Woodcock, the pastor who married the couple in 2005, officiating.
