THREE MILE BAY, N.Y.
— The
funeral for Grace A. Cough, 85, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.
17, at Three Mile Bay Baptist Church. Burial will be in the
spring in Evans Mills Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday,
Jan. 16, at Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter.
Mrs. Cough died Friday afternoon, Jan. 13, at Samaritan
Medical Center, Watertown.
Born March 1, 1926, daughter of John A. and Belva M.
Augsbury, she was a graduate of General Brown High School
and Rochester School of Business.
She married Robert V. Cough on June 28, 1947, at Our Lady of
the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown, with Rev. Joseph A.
Francouer officiating.
She had been the pastor’s wife and church organist and
pianist at Three Mile Bay Baptist Church for 34 years.
She was employed by Mercy Hospital for 25 years and retired
in 1988.
Surviving are a son, John A. Cough Three Mile Bay; three
daughters and their husbands, Carol A. and Michael Buzzell,
Clear Lake, Nancy M. and Frank Smith, New Paltz, and Robin
R. and Timothy Browne, Southbury, Conn.; two sisters; Ruth
Nixon, Syracuse, and Gladys Santora, Ogdensburg; eight grandchildren,
and ten great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 60 years, Pastor Robert V. Cough, died Dec.
10, 2007. A sister, Edna Fikes, also died before her.
