HARRISVILLE, N.Y.  —  Monica C. Doran, 86, formerly of Harrisville, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Clifton-Fine Hospital, Star Lake.

Born June 11, 1921, at Harrisville, daughter of  Edwin W and the late Florence North Clarke, she was a graduate of Harrisville High School. 

She married Francis Doran on Sept. 2, 1945, in Tupper Lake. He died Feb. 13, 1973. 

Mrs. Doran was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

She was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Patric F. Doran, Fla.; a daughter, Sherry L. Doran, Star Lake; a brother, Albert J. Clarke; two grandchildren; a nephew, Francis Powers; Star Lake.

Two sisters, Lillian E. Powers and Lura J. Clary, and three brothers, Arthur E. Clarke, Ronald E. Clarke, and Melbourne "Mike" Clarke, all died before her.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisville, with the Rev. Frances K. Hemstreet, pastor of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral.

Instead of flowers, memorial donations to the Clifton-Fine Hospital Auxiliary in care of Mrs. Lillian Streeter.
