LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Carol
Beverly Lewis Tyner, 86, formerly of Lowville, died
Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Georgia under the care of hospice and
her daughters.
Born Jan.
13, 1926, in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Leroy and
Helena Mae Chapman Lewis, she graduated from high school in
Syracuse.
She married Harold S. Tyner Jr. on June 17, 1945, in Lake
Placid. The couple then resided on Jefferson Street in
Lowville. The couple had four children and started their own
clothing business.
They were members of the Lowville United Methodist
Church.
After living in various states, the couple returned to West
State St. in Lowville, where Carol worked for Drs. Ocampo
and Domingo, OB/GYN, as their office manager. Mr. Tyner died
Oct. 15, 1987.
Surviving are her two daughters, Debra and Paul Olander,
Decatur, Ga., and Shirley and Dean Ramos, Longmont, Colo.;
two daughters-in-law, Betty Pine, Sodus Point, and
Mary Ellen Tyner, Lowville. Mrs. Tyner was also blessed with
12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Gary L. Tyner and Barry W. Tyner, as well as a
grandson, Patrick C. Hoffman, all died before her.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 11, at the
Lowville United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth O’Neal,
pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Beaches
Bridge Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Hospital Foundation, Boston Children’s Hospital, the
American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
