LACONA, N.Y.
— Billie Faye Myers, 49, Lacona, went to be with the Lord on
Monday, Jan. 23, under the care of the staff of University Hospital and her family by her side.
Billie had been suffering with Lypodema and complications with gallbladder disease.
Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Christopher S. Myers; their daughter, Tammy M., at
home; a brother and five sisters including Bonnie and Gary Barney,
Adams Center, Brian and Karen Snyder, Lacona, Brenda and Joseph Parker,
Watertown, Beata and Michael Tharp, Phoenix Ariz., Barbara and Richard Knight,
Watertown, and Beverly Snyder, Lacona; and several loved
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Billie attended Sandy Creek Central School and was a member of the Sandy Creek United Wesleyan Church where she was very involved with the teen group
and puppet ministries. She loved to make the children of the area thrive within the community with special projects.
She married Christopher S. Myers in 1995 in Sandy Creek with a reception held at the Lacona VFW.
She enjoyed knitting and sewing and making people smile. Her cats Missy and Tigger were always by
her side. Her enduring love for her family can never be measured.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church,
Route 11, Sandy Creek, with a service following officiated
by her brother, Pastor Brian Snyder.
