COPENHAGEN, N.Y.  —  Harry Joseph Morse Jr., 55, formerly of Copenhagen, died Thursday, Jan. 26, at his home in Albion, N.Y. 

Born Sept. 1, 1956, at Mercy Hospital in Watertown, the son of Harry J. and Anna Raab Morse, Sr., he graduated in 1974 from the Copenhagen Central School. 

He went on to continue his education at Herkimer Community College, SUNY IT, and SUNY Oswego, where he earned his master’s degree in counseling. He also served in the Army Reserve at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. 

Previous marriages to Melanie Rumble, Lesley Stewart and Donna Meekins ended in divorce.

He was a long time employee of New York State, with the Dept. of Corrections, the Dept. of Motor Vehicles and the Dept. of Labor. 

He was a former member of the Lowville Elks Lodge BPOE #1605 and was a past exalted ruler of the Albion Elks Lodge, BPOE #1006.

Surviving are his companion, Pamela Hastings, Albion; his father, Harry J. Morse Sr.; three sons, Ryan J., Timothy S. and Trevor S.; a grandson, Gavin D.; and two sisters, Victoria Hill and Maggi Hutto. 

He was predeceased by his mother, Anna.

A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 10229 Washington St., Copenhagen. Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

A memorial service will take place at the Albion Elks Lodge at a later date.
