LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Genevieve D. ”Jenny” Mushtare, 80, of
Water Street, died Monday morning, Jan. 30, at Lewis County
General Hospital after a long illness.
The
funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. Spring burial will be in
Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the funeral Home.
Born Sept. 17, 1931, in Syracuse, a daughter of the
late Nelson W. and Irene Warren LaFlair, she attended school
in Syracuse, Texas, and in Lowville.
She married Edward W. Mushtare on Aug. 26, 1950, at Cavalry
Tabernacle, Carthage.
She was co-owner and dispatcher for the Lewis County Taxi
Service from 1993 to present.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles,
country and western music and family gatherings.
Jenny’s family would like to
thank the medical staff at Lewis County General Hospital for
taking such good care of her and keeping her comfortable
during her illness.
Surviving are her husband, Edward, of 61 years; a son and
his wife, Bruce and Mary Jo, Lowville: a son and his wife,
Rickey and Cindy, Glenfield: a son and his wife, Randy and
Elaine, Waterville: a daughter and her husband, Janice and
Jamie Foote, Lowville; a son Brian, Lowville: and a daughter
and her husband Terri and Jeff Davis, Watson; 14
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great
grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Four brothers Robert, Calvin, Vernon and Charles, a sister,
Dorothy Pointdexter, and a grandson, Randy B.
Hellinger Jr., all died before her.
