LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Rosealma F. Farney, 82, formerly of Steepleview Courts,
Croghan, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, at Lewis County
Residential Healthcare Facility where she has resided since
March 2008.
A graveside service will
be held in the spring in Apostolic Christian Cemetery,
Croghan. There will be no calling hours. A private service
was held at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. Lowville.
Born Dec. 21, 1928, in Croghan, a daughter of the late Frank
M. and Jessie M. Turck Ritz, she went to school in New
Bremen and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1946.
She married Francis A. “Funce” Farney on May 18, 1946,
at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan. Mr. Farney died
Dec. 1, 1979.
Mrs. Farney was a communicant
of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan and was also
member of St. Stephen’s Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Bruce and Julie
Farney, Carthage, and Stephen and Linda Farney, Lyons Falls;
a daughter, Kathleen Farney, Rochester; six grandchildren,
and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her twin brother, Richard Ritz, and two sisters, Dorothy R.
Keib and Lucille Bishop, died before her.
