LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Summer Rayne Hellinger, 21, of Oneida, died Friday, Feb. 3,
at her home.
Born March 9, 1990, in Lowville, the daughter of Randy B.
and Mimi Rumble Hellinger Sr., she graduated in 2009 from
Rome Free Academy. She attended Mohawk Valley Community
College in 2010.
Summer was a free spirited person with a kind heart. Her
determination for life was admired by many. Summer’s
hobbies were four wheeling and fishing.
Her love for art was drawing, body ink, tattooing, and
piercings. She also had a great love for dolphins, The
Golden Girls, Law and Order SVU, and gold jewelry.
Surviving are her mother, Mimi Godwin; a brother and three
sisters, Brock M. Hellinger, Brandy L. Hellinger, Amanda R.
Burdick, and Shannon L. Hellinger; her aunts, uncles and
several cousins. She is also survived by her best friend of
15 years, Ashley Black Demauro, Oneida, Terrell Black, of 9
years, Utica; guardian Rachael Yarchuk Carter and children,
Utica, and many other special people who dedicated their
time and love to Summer throughout her life.
Her father Randy B. Hellinger Sr., and her brother, Randy B.
Hellinger Jr., both died before her.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Sundquist
Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Lowville Rural
Cemetery. Family and friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday,
Feb. 7, at the funeral home.
