Rudolph A. Cozzi

  Rudolph A. "Rudy" Cozzi, 83, formerly of 418 Sherman St., died Feb. 22 at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where he had been a resident since November 2004.

Born June 19, 1928, in Watertown, the son of Alexander H. and Margaret DiPoto Cozzi, he graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy High School.  

He worked as an assistant purchasing agent at Fort Drum for many years.  

Mr. Cozzi was also well known musician. In his early years, he played in a band and later was church organist for a number of local churches, including Holy Family Church and Concordia Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Richard and Carol Cozzi, Watertown, and Anthony and Mary Cozzi, DePuniak Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Marie A. Marra, Watertown, and Gloria R. Williamson, Lavonia, Mich.: several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Adaleen Trimm, died before him.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Holy Family Church, Watertown, with Father Stephen Murray, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.  

Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.

Memorial donations may be given in his memory to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 400 Pratt St., Watertown, NY 13601.
