Albert S. Tibbles

DEXTER, N.Y.  —  Albert S. Tibbles, 50, of Dexter, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 21, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

Born Jan. 16, 1962, in Watertown, the son of Earl and Katherine Tibbles Typhair, he attended various local schools. 

He married Shirley A. Cronk in 1983 in Watertown.  

The couple lived in Brownville, Herrings and moved to Dexter in 2000.

Mr. Tibbles was a custodian at Watertown High School until having to retire due to a disability.

He was a member of Natural Bridge Fire Department and Dexter Fire Department. 

He also assisted with General Brown Football  on the sidelines with distance chains.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley; a son, Michael, Dexter; a daughter. Kathy Fancher, Watertown; six grandchildren; four sisters, Carol Carlisle, Redwood, Alberta Lashore, Watertown, Diane Schraenkler, Adams, and Connie Orr, Adams. 

Two sisters, Mary and Kathy, both died before him..

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, with Fr. Kevin O'Brien of Immaculate Conception Church officiating. His body will be cremated and later buried in Dexter Cemetery.  Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
