Chester A. Kaczmarek

LOWVILLE, N.Y.  —  Chester A. Kaczmarek, 78, passed away on Tuesday morning, Feb. 15, at the Albany Medical Center. 

Born May 29, 1932, in Lancaster, the son of Vincent and Josephine Kaczmarek.Chester, he moved in 1959 as a young man to the Lowville area where he began his teaching career as an Industrial Arts Teacher at Lowville Free Academy until his retirement on June 30, 1990. 

He was well-known by his colleagues as “Kacz” and admired by many for his commitment to his profession. Chester also served in the Army from 1956 to 1958 and the Army reserves until 1962. 

Surviving are his sister, Clara Crossley, New Mexico; and nieces and nephews. 

Three sisters, Alice M. Lawniczak, Wanda Jeffords, Joan Russell; and a brother, Raymond Kaczmarek, all died before him.

Memorials may made in Chester’s name; may be made to the Lowville Food Pantry. 

Per Kacz’s request, his body will be cremated and there will be no funeral or calling hours.
