HARRISVILLE, N.Y.   —  Dora IdaBelle LaVancha, 76, of Middle Branch Road, died Tuesday night, Feb. 28, in the Carthage Area Hospital emergency room after being stricken at home.

Born March 5, 1935, in the town of Diana, the daughter of Henry and Blanche Marcell LaVancha, she attended Harrisville Central School. 

She married Peter J. Garrow April 24, 1953 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church with the Rev. Walter Merritt officiating. Mr., Garrow died in 1999.

She was a homemaker. 

She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her pets. 

Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Peter W, Lane and Estella, Harrisville, and Duane V., Hogansburg; a daughter, Attonda, Harrisville; two brothers, Duane, Deer River and Harvey, Sodus, N.Y.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Services for Dora will be private. 

Arrangements are with the Adirondack Funeral Home, Harrisville.
