Gerald E. Ebersol

CROGHAN, N.Y.  —  Gerald E. Ebersol, 79, of Dolan Springs, Ariz., and formerly of Croghan, died peacefully at his home March 2, 2011. 

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. 5702 Waters Road, Lowville with Rev. Mr. Ronald Pominville, officiating.  Burial will be in Boulder City Veterans Cemetery, Boulder, Nevada. 

Gerald is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Linda; three daughters, Kerry Irene, Jenny Lynn, Connie Carol and husband, Hubert Snelgrove; a step-son, Carlton (Michelle) Russell; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Fred (Barbara) Ebersol of Croghan, Warren (Sandra) Ebersol of Castorland; three sisters, Charlotte (Donald) Hunziker of Glenfield, Lois Baker of Lowville, Sandra (Edward) Zehr of Croghan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He is predeceased by two brothers, Kayland and Calvin Ebersol, a sister Fern Reed, and a step-son, Garland Russell. 

Gerald was born on November 2, 1931, a son of the late Leon and Mable Greenfield Ebersol. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gerald was a retired meat cutter.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

He was a life member of Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 VFW.
