Shirley A. Maciejko

LOWVILLE, N.Y.  —  Shirley Ann Maciejko of Whitesboro and Lyons Falls, passed away Saturday March 5, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Utica.

B
orn Dec. 20, 1950, in Lowville, a daughter of the late Ralph Maciejko and Anne Wetmore Maciejko, she attended schools at Port Leyden and South Lewis Central, graduating in 1970. While in school, she attended B.O.C.E.S. in Glenfield.

Miss Maciejko was employed as a level II food service employee at Mohawk Valley State Hospital for over 24 years.

Shirley had many passions in life including working with her hands. She was impeccable at quilting and was a member of “My Quilt” and “Embroidery Quit” clubs of Tug Hill. She also enjoyed bus tours of the New England Colonies, but her favorite past time was her many craft projects.

Shirley had a heartwarming laugh that could be recognized a mile away. She has many friends that will dearly miss her in the Whitesboro Utica area as well as Lyons Falls.

Shirley is survived by her Mother, Anne Maciejko of Lyons Falls. Her two brothers; Mike, wife Tami , nephew Bo and nieces Anna and Tesse of Colorado, Joe, wife Alice, nephew Andy and Jason, and niece Gerri of Constableville, and her sister Mary, nieces Wendy and Erin of New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her Father Ralph Maciejko.

A funeral service will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Mr. James W. Chaufty, Deacon of St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Port Leyden, officiating, for those wishing to celebrate Shirley’s life.

There will be no calling hours. Burial will be this spring in Lowville Cemetery.
