Ronald R. Souva

MARTINSBURG, N.Y.  — 
Ronald Ross Souva, 71, formerly of State Route 26, died Monday, March 7, at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, Lowille.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Christopher Carrara and Rev. Dena Stevens, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Martinsburg Cemetery. Calling hours are 4  to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the funeral home.

Born Nov.14, 1939, at home in Lowville, a son of the late Ross A. and Blanche L. Smith Souva, he attended Lowville Academy, and worked on area farms.  

He married Sandra S. Ingersoll on April 18, 1970, at Martinsburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Muller officiating.  

Mr. Souva worked for Kraft, Lowville Oil, and drove truck for Marmon Heating; and worked for Louis Bush and Son, retiring in December 1994. 

Ronnie was a lifetime member of the Martinsburg Fire Department. 

He enjoyed fishing, camping and going to Fiddler events. He also enjoyed watching Celtics basketball games and NASCAR races.

Surviving are
wife of nearly 41 years, Sandra; a son, Lee R. Souva at home; a daughter, Rebecca C. Souva at home; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Rosie Souva, Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcia and Leo Perry, Fonda, N.Y.; Debbie and Lester Cobb, Glenfield, N.Y.; three step-brothers and their spouses, Frank and Sally Leviker; Larry and Sandy Leviker; and Pat Leviker; four step-sisters and their spouses, Gloria and Floyd Campany; Cecilia Graham; Rosemary Leviker; and Paulette Edick; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He was predeceased by his stepmother, Grace Leviker Souva.
