LOWVILLE, N.Y.  —  Polly A. Finn, 63, of Jefferson Street, died Saturday morning, March 29, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare where she has been a patient.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Lowville Rural Cemetery with Rev. Christopher J. Soucy, Parochial Vicar, officiating. Arrangements are with the Sundquist Funeral Home.

Born March 8, 1945, in Harrisville, the daughter of Edward C. and Helen D. Hathway Jenack, she graduated from Harrisville Central School and nurse's aide training at Lewis County General Hospital. 

She worked first for the nurse’s office at Lowville Academy, and then went to work for Niagara Mohawk in Lowville, Carthage, and Watertown office where she retired. There she was the mail courier for the different locations. She retired as a custodian.

She married Edward J. “Punky’ Finn on Sept. 12, 1964, in Harrisville, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Kelley officiating. Mr. Finn is retired from the state Department of Transportation in Lowville.

Surviving are her husband, “Punky” of Lowville; her three children, Bridget E. Boliver, Lowville; Brian E. and his wife Christine Finn of Lowville; Russell J. “Rusty” and Amber Finn, St. Johnsbury, Vt.; her mother, Helen D. Jenack, Harrisville; six grandchildren, Matthew R. Scott, Cole E. Boliver, Chelsea M. Finn, Emily A. Finn, Brianna E. Finn, and Carson M. Finn; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Karen Jenack, Lowville; Frederick Jenack, Harrisville; William and Suzanne, Fairport; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ellen and Richard Bush, Lowville; Dixie and Thomas Dickenson, Harrisville. 

Her father, Edward C. Jenack, died before her.

Mrs. Finn was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and was a member of the Valley Homemakers. 

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and playing cards on Sunday night.

A funeral Mass was said 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher J. Looby, Parochial Vicar, officiating. Calling hours were held at the Sundquist Funeral Home, 7676 N. State Street, Lowville.
