LOWVILLE,
N.Y. — N. Lois Lehman, 83, of 8671 Route 812,
died Saturday evening at Lewis County General Hospital where
she had been a patient since March 11.
Born July 23, 1924, in Lowville, the daughter of Hawley and
Florence Atwell Weller, she graduated from Lowville Academy.
She married Gerald G. Lehman on June 19, 1946, at the
Lowville Methodist Church with the Rev. George Fraser
officiating.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the Black River
Bank in Lowville. After her marriage, she was a homemaker,
helped with the operation of the family farm and served as
secretary for 24 years for her husband while he was Town of
New Bremen supervisor.
Surviving are her husband of Lowville; a son and his wife,
Donald and Doris, Lowville; two daughters and a son-in-law,
Patricia Hodel, Inlet and Camp Verde, Ariz., and Carol and
Richard Tiffany, Croghan; a brother, Richard Weller,
Lowville; seven grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren,
nieces nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the
Adirondack Funeral Home, Main St., Croghan, with the
ministry of the Croghan Apostolic Christian Church
officiating. Spring burial will be in the Croghan Apostolic
Christian Cemetery. A calling hour will be observed noon to
1 p.m. prior to the funeral.
Instead of flowers, the
family requests memorial donations be made to the Croghan
Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 405,
Croghan, N.Y. 13327.
