GLENFIELD, N.Y. —
Ronald E.
Tiffany, 65, of Fayetteville, and formerly of Glenfield,
passed away suddenly from heart failure on Monday, April 2,
at his home.
Born July 6, 1946, in
Lowville, the son of Donald and Sarah McCue Tiffany, he
graduated from South Lewis Central School in June 1964 and
from Canton Tech in 1966. Ron went on to graduate in 1968
from Albany State University with a bachelor’s degree in
accounting. He served with the Air Force for four years,
honorably discharged on July 3, 1972,with a rank of staff
sergeant.
He was employed as a senior programmer with Salina Office
Services from 1972 until he retired in 2009. He was
instrumental in developing software for nursing home
administration.
Ron enjoyed spending time with family at the family camp on
Chase Lake.
He enjoyed reading and was an avid movie critic.
Surviving are his mother Sarah Tiffany; three sisters and
brothers-in-law, Linda (David) Seymour-Mt. Pleasant, S.C.,
Margaret (John) Jaconski-Manlius, and Barbara (Scott)
Kellogg-Hadley, Mass.; a brother and his wife, Richard
(Carol) Tiffany-Croghan; a brother-in-law, Michael LaFave,
Voorheesville; several nieces and nephews that were his
pride and joy; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald Tiffany in 2002 and
his sister, Lori LaFave in 2003
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at
Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with the Rev. Bruce
Chapman, a family friend, officiating. There will be a
calling hour from 1-2 p.m. prior
to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be in
Glendale Cemetery.
