Docteur, 99, of Cape Vincent passed away Friday, April 12,
at the care of her family & Jefferson County Hospice.
She was the daughter of
Carleton and Jennie Lyle Radley of Cape Vincent.
Born Dec. 15, 1913, in Cape Vincent, a daughter of Carleton
and Jennie Lyle Radley, Cape Vincent, she attended local
She married Glenn Docteur in April 1934 at St. Vincent of
Paul's ,Cape Vincent. He
was the son of Louie & Marion Bourcy Docteur. They owned
and operated a farm, trailer park and marina. Mr. Docteur
died Aug. 4, 1994, at their home in Cape Vincent under her
She was a communicate of St. Vincent of Paul's and a member
of The Alter & Rosary society.
Surviving are a sister, Genevieve Milligan, Cape Vincent; a
daughter Mary Cregan, Rochester; three sons, Richard (Nancy)
Docteur, Cape Vincent, Lee (Sandy) Docteur, Cape Vincent,
and Lynn Docteur, Key West Fla.; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, two sisters and an infant sister at birth,
and several nieces and nephews, all died before her.
A funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at
St. Vincent of Paul's church in Cape Vincent. A calling hour
will be 10 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Burial
will be at a later date.
