“Sally” Brucker Campany, 83,
of Stowe Street, died Tuesday, April 16.
4, 1929, in Meadville, Pa., the daughter of the late Raymond
O. and Gladys Swift Williams, she graduated in June 1947
from Adams Center Central High School.
She married James H. Campany on Dec. 6, 1947, at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Hogan
Mrs. Campany worked in the kitchen for nine years at the
Lewis County General Hospital, retiring in 1984.
She was an active member and communicant of St. Peter’s
Church where she also served as Eucharistic Minister for
During the 1950s and 1960s, Sally was a Girl Scout leader
for ten years and Cub Scout mother for three years and Pack
secretary for five years. She was also a member of the
American Legion Auxiliary for 23 years, as of 2004.
Her favorite past-time was playing Bingo and serving on that

George Carroll; two step-sisters Beatrice Williams and
Eleanor Graves and two step-brothers, Kenneth G. Williams

A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Carrara
officiating. Burial will be in the Lowville Rural Cemetery
alongside her husband, James, who died Dec. 16, 1997.
Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday,
April 18, at Sundquist Funeral Home where Lowville American
Legion Auxiliary, Post #162, will conduct a service at 7 p.m.
