— Larry B. Widrick, 60, of
Olmstead Road, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 22, at
University Hospital, Syracuse.
The funeral will be held noon Saturday, April 26, at
Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville,
with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired Methodist minister,
officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience
of the family. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday, April 25, at the funeral home.
Born March 21, 1948 in Lowville, a son of the late Benjamin
and Cecilia Kempney Widrick, he attended rural school on the
Long Pond Road and Beaver River Central School. He worked
for Climax Manufacturing in Castorland for a short time.
He married Eva Mathous on April 20, 1985, at the Beaver
Falls United Methodist Church with Rev. Smith, officiating.
Mr. Widrick had worked as a logger and owned and operated
Widrick’s Logging Company for many years until 2004, upon
his employment with DANC in Rodman until 2005.
He was a longtime member of the New Bremen Fish and Game
Club and was a member and caretaker of the Tide Lake Hunting
Club in Herkimer County.
Mr. Widrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, spending time
and working with his horses, and riding his motorcycle on
nice days
Surviving are his wife, Eva; a son, Aaron L. Widrick and his
companion, Carie Eisel, Lowville; a grandson, Bram L.
Widrick; a brother, Edward Widrick, Croghan; a sister and
her husband, Linda and Jerry Lyndaker, Croghan; two
half-brothers, Loren Widrick, Croghan, Herbert Branagan and
his wife, Rebecca, Harrisville; two half-sisters, Ellen
Roggie, Carthage, Alfrieda Roggie and her husband, Lansing,
Carthage; an aunt, Mary Burt; several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
A sister, Judy E. Widrick, a half-brother, Arnold Widrick,
and a half sister, Gertrude Widrick, all died before him.
