Howard J.
Booth, 64, of Hunter Road, town of Alexandria, died Friday,
May 4, at his home while under the care of his family and
Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born Feb. 28, 1948, in Evans Mills, the son of William S.
and Julia Gleeson Booth, he attended Indian River High
School.
He married Jean VanTassel on April 28, 1978, in Theresa.
Mr. Booth owned and operated his own farm in Theresa from
the late 1960s to the late 1980s, and was employed at both
the Rod Calhoun farm in Antwerp and the Jeff Zimmer farm in
Alexandria Bay.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood crafting, 4-wheeling and
snowmobiling.
Survivors including his wife, are a son, Brandy Booth,
Theresa; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Mike Kring,
South Bend, Ind.; three sisters and a brother-in-law,
Shirley Reome, Canandaigua, Mary Hodge, Theresa and Caroline
and Robert Partridge, Calcium; and six grandchildren,
Hailey, Joseph, Ashley, Breanna, Madyson and Howard.
Two brothers, William Lee Booth and Robert Booth, both died
before him.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Frederick Bros.
Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa, with Rev. Edgar A. Hunter Sr.
officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery,
Theresa.
