LOWVILLE, N.Y. —
Betty E. Sullivan, 81, of Lanpher Street, died on Saturday, May 7,
at Lewis County General Hospital.
Born April 24, 1930, in Barnes Corners, the daughter of the late Edgar Henry and Mertie M. Waite
Normander, she graduated in 1950 from Lowville Academy.
She married Lawrence R. Sullivan on Aug. 25, 1952, with Rev. John A.
Cotter officiating. Mr. Sullivan died Feb. 1, 1974.
Mrs. Sullivan was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lowville and was a life member of the Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Callaghan, Lowville; a sister-in-law, Grace Normander,
Lowville; two grandchildren, Larry V. Callaghan, Lowville, and Cheri L. Callaghan,
Turin; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Breckin and Alyssa Callaghan,
Lake Placid, and Darrell Branchaud, Turin; and a nephew,
Bruce H. Normander, Lowville.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 16,
in Lowville Rural Cemetery with Rev. Ronald J. Pominville, Deacon, officiating.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Sundquist Funeral Home.
