Rebecca A. Bergeron

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  — 
Rebecca A. Szalach Bergeron, 51, of Willow Street, and formerly of Lyons Falls, died Saturday, May 14, at her home.

A prayer service for family and extended family will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Houseville, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo, officiating. Burial will be in Lowville Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Born August 27, 1959, on Lowville, a daughter of Mety Paul and Mary Jane Ziankoski Szalach, she graduated from South Lewis High School.  

During her career, she was employed in many different positions at local restaurants and hotels.  

A marriage to Rick Bergeron ended in divorce. 

Ms. Bergeron was a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church, Watertown.  

She enjoyed gardening, drawing pencil sketches, and spending time with animals.

Surviving are
her mother, Mary Szalach, Lyons Falls; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Jeanne, Carthage; twin brothers, David and Carol, Lyons Falls, and Dennis and Dawn, West Leyden; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her cats, Shelby, Sydney, Winston, and Lukas. 

Her father, Mety Szalach, died June 20, 2007.
