Richard A. “Riki” Blundon, 49, of 8276 High St., died Tuesday morning, May
15, after being involved in a motor vehicle accident in Harrisville.
Born Aug. 12, 1962, in Rockledge, Fla., the son of Brainard P. L.
and Pearl Wood Blundon, he graduated in 1981 from Harrisville Central School. He graduated from Canton ATC in 1983.
He was employed by the Blundon-Burgess Insurance Agency in Harrisville.
He enjoyed water skiing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and working with his hands. He enjoyed the time he spent at Lake Bonaparte.
He assisted during the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska in 1989.
Several marriages ended in divorce.
Surviving are his father, Brainard, Harrisville; his companion, Shelby
Kurmey, Harrisville; his children, Tonya Blundon and Heather Blundon, both of Massachusetts, Cheyanne Blundon, Harrisville and an adopted daughter, Christine Conner, Anchorage,
Alaska; an aunt, Eileen Burge, Harrisville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Pearl and his brother, John, who died in 2010.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, at
Harrisville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frances
Hemstreet, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held
6 to 8 p.m. Thurday, May 17, at the church and 1 to 2
p.m. Friday prior to the service.
