Earl J.
Greenfield, 54, of Rural Avenue, died Monday evening, May 21.
A memorial
service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville with Earl LaLonde, pastor of
Martinsburg United Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors
will follow the service at the funeral home. Calling hours
are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the
funeral home. All are invited to the Marine Corps League Det.
#754, Lowville, after the services. Any food donations may
go directly to the Marie Corps League. Burial will be
held privately by the family.
Born April 29, 1958, in Lowville, a son of Daniel J.
Greenfield and the late Myrtle M. Dunn Greenfield, he graduated
in 1976 from Lowville Academy. He served in the U.S. Marines
from 1976 to 1980.
He then moved to San Diego, CA, where he married Ann Salmon.
The couple moved back to Lewis County, where Earl worked for
Law Brothers in Lyons Falls for several years. Ann died in
1992.
Mr. Greenfield worked at the Lyonsdale Power Plant for 19
years until being recently employed by Afgritech LLC. Of
Watertown.
He
was a member of the Martinsburg United Methodist Church. He
was also a member of Marine Corps League Det. #754, Lowville
and Glenfield Fish and Game Club.
He enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle. He cherished
spending time with his grandson Carter. He also
enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and dancing.
Surviving are his wife, P.J.; his children, Tobi Bacon of
Lowville, Thomas D. Shaw of Watertown, Travis M. Greenfield
of Virginia; a grandson, Carter James Bacon; his father,
Daniel Greenfield and his companion, Gail Young of Dexter;
four brothers, Daniel J. Greenfield Jr. of San Diego, CA,
Richard C. and Samantha Greenfield, of Clarksville, TN,
Jeffrey L. and Laurette Greenfield of Danville, VA, William
E. Greenfield; his uncle and aunt, whom he was very close
to, Stewart and Shirley Dunn of Boonville; several aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Myrtle Greenfield.
